ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain has said that the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) will pave the way for economic development – ‘not only Pakistan but for the whole region’.
He said – while talking to a delegation of Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO) – that CPEC will create immense employment opportunities and other avenues for economic progress.
The president expressed satisfaction the role of SUPARCO in completion of all projects under CPEC and appreciated the growing role of the commission in the country’s economic progress and development.
He stressed the need for optimum utilisation of its expertise in agriculture, water resources, healthcare, education, disaster management and environment monitoring.
